Job Position
IT Manager (L1)
Job Description
Pashupati Capital Services (PCS) is a registered stockbroker with NSE and BSE.
We are looking for an energetic L1 IT Support Engineer to provide real-time, on-site IT support to internal traders and operations teams. You’ll manage BOD/EOD checks, resolve basic hardware/software issues, and ensure the readiness of all user terminals and peripherals before market hours.
Principal Responsibilities
🎯 Trading Desk & Mock Trading Readiness
Execute BOD/EOD routines: validate terminal logins, network uptime, and application access for all traders.
Conduct daily mock trading sessions across all Algo IDs and Dealer IDs; document outcomes and immediately flag any failures to L2/L3.
Coordinate with compliance or trading leads on mock test reports, login logs, and system behavior notes.
Ensure readiness of backup devices/screens and failover terminals before market open.
🧑💻 Real-Time User Support
Provide first-line technical support to traders and back office teams — directly on-site or via internal comms.
Troubleshoot desktop, peripheral, LAN/Wi-Fi, and client application issues.
Support workstation relocations or reshuffling in the front/back office, ensuring power, LAN, and login consistency.
🧰 System Maintenance & Hygiene
Clean all systems periodically: remove temporary files, flush browser/app caches, update antivirus, and verify system responsiveness.
Reboot systems as per protocol after updates or mock failures.
Manage user accounts, reset passwords, and update access logs under L2 supervision.
🗂️ Reporting & SOP Adherence
Maintain logs of mock test results, backup status, login errors, and resolved issues.
Follow internal SOPs for escalation, backups, and compliance communication.
Assist in preparing reports for internal audits or regulatory checks.
Job Requirements
2 years of desktop or IT support experience, ideally in a trading or finance environment.
Familiarity with Windows OS (7–11) and standard enterprise apps; basic Linux or command line comfort is a bonus.
Ability to understand and follow mock trading protocols and document outcomes accurately.
Strong communication and urgency awareness when dealing with traders during live hours.
Willingness to work early mornings and assist during market holidays, mock days, or BCP drills.
