IT Executive (L2)
Job Description
Pashupati Capital Services (PCS) is a registered stockbroker with NSE and BSE.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented L2 IT Engineer to serve as a critical link between basic IT support and core infrastructure operations. The role focuses on network configuration, hardware deployments, firewall administration, and IT procurement to support ultra-low latency trading systems.
Principal Responsibilities
🔧 Infrastructure Operations
Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining trading servers and network devices at co-location data centres (NSE, BSE, MCX, NSEIX and IndiaINX).
Work closely with the L3 lead on BIOS, IPMI/iLO, and firmware rollouts.
Support racking, structured cabling (Cat6, Twinax, fibre), and power distribution (PDU).
🔐 Network & Firewall Management
Configure and maintain routers, switches, VLANs, and basic routing.
Implement and monitor firewall rules and network access policies under L3 direction.
Conduct regular port scans, link testing, and latency benchmarking.
🐧 Linux & System Administration
Support installation and configuration of Linux systems (Rocky, Ubuntu) and performance tuning tasks.
Handle kernel module updates, driver installations (NICs, SFPs), and repo management under guidance.
Provide support in virtualised environments (VMware, Xen, Hyper-V).
🌐 Procurement & Coordinatiion
• Collaborate with vendors for quotes, hardware assessments, and logistics.
• Manage asset tagging, licensing, and basic documentation for procurement workflows.
📡 Issue Escalation & Tier-2 Support
• Triage advanced issues from L1 team and provide resolution or escalate to L3 if needed.
• Document resolution steps and update knowledge base content.
Job Requirements
3–6 years in IT/networking roles with enterprise or trading infrastructure exposure.
Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, structured cabling, and server hardware.
Familiarity with firewall configurations and network access controls.
Working experience with Linux (preferably Rocky/Ubuntu) and hands-on CLI operations.
Diploma/Bachelor’s in IT, Engineering, or equivalent certifications (CCNA, Network+, etc.) preferred.

Holidays will be provided as per the NSE/BSE holiday calendar
Hours of work: Monday to Saturday - 10:30 AM to 07:30 PM. Saturday – 5-6 Hours
Salary varies by depth of experience/skills and last drawn CTC
